Adamantium Audio Dark Reference is a high-quality black fabric designed specifically for light optimisation in home cinemas. Its exceptionally dark and uniform surface absorbs unwanted ambient and stray light, noticeably improving perceived image contrast.
In direct comparison, conventional black fabrics such as stage molton often appear visibly grey. Dark Reference was developed for home cinema enthusiasts who want to achieve the darkest possible and most refined appearance around the projection screen.

Package contents and available sizes
Depending on the selected variant, the fabric is supplied as one continuous length. The minimum order size is 10 m × 1.40 m. For larger projects, a project package containing four separate fabric lengths of 10 m × 1.40 m each is also available.
Installation and handling
Dark Reference is easy to cut, stretch and attach to suitable surfaces. It is particularly well suited for installation with our fabric mounting tracks.
Note on acoustic applications
Dark Reference was primarily developed to provide the highest possible level of light absorption. For surfaces positioned directly in front of loudspeakers, we recommend the more acoustically transparent Adamantium Audio Invisible speaker fabric.
